Movie Review- Bridesmaids
“Bridesmaids” will make you want to be a Bridesmaid!
(5/5 STARS)
When you look at a movie like Bridesmaids, you think “wow, looks good” or”looks really funny”. This movie put all those lame comments to rest. This movie was really EPIC! Now you can ask me, how is this movie epic? Could it be because the main characters brought back what comedy is or just because I am really bias on the movie. I say both. This review will share with all of you that a movie like Bridesmaids is worth to see in the movies, and may be even worth paying an extra $3 to go AVX!
Kristen Wiig stars at Annie, a recent entrepreneur in the recession today, who had a bakery and was chosen by her best friend Lillian (Maya Rudolph) to be her maid of honour. Annie is really jealous of Lillian’s finace’s boss’ wife Helen (Rose Byrne) who seems to be stealing Lillian from her. Through all the hardships the bridesmaids (also Megan, Becca, Rita (Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Ellie Kemper) face, the plane ride to Vegas, the bridal party and much more, Annie and the rest of them shows us once again how far someone will go for someone who they care about.
Kristen Wiig plays the role of her lifetime in this comedy. I thought that her
character was hilarious, her lines were funny, and she made me laugh from start
to finish. I found the character of Helen just like every other rich snobby country club person in movies… boring. The person though who stole the show from the moment we met her on-screen is Melissa McCarthy (AKA Megan). Her character was super funny, her actions were hilarious and I loved how she made me feel like I was a part of the movie.
The scenes that I found hilarious were the scenes where they were in the dress shop and everyone got food poisoning from Annie’s restaurant. Megan (McCarthy) was super funny in that scene along with another bridesmaid Rita (Covey) who was pretty funny as well. I also thought the scene on the airplane was funny because of the character of Annie but also for the “Air Marshall” John (Ben Falcone) who kept saying that he wasn’t an air marshall. Megan kept trying to get him to admit it but he wouldn’t budge and she even came on to him a few times. Such a funny scene.
I found that the movie Bridesmaids showed us what a real comedy is and showed us what real friendship is. Real friendships last for a lifetime and I think that throughout this movie, real friendships are shown. This movie will show you how far someone will go to be the best friend that they can be!
The audience for this movie that would like this would be teens, and adults. Since the movie is rated 14A, some teens may not like this movie. Overall, If you don’t see this movie, you are missing out on a hilarious movie just like the
hangover!
